Singh & Sons (SS) is a forging unit situated in the heart of MIDC Industrial Belt in Pune, Maharashtra with strong standing on domestic markets in closed-die forging and open-die forging. Our main mission as a supplier is to be as flexible as possible, rather than focus on very large quantity production. We tend to be very flexible when it comes to lead-time and smaller quantities.

Forging is a manufacturing process involving the shaping of metal using localized compressive forces from a hammer or a die.

Forging offers uniformity of composition and structure. As the metal is shaped during the forging process, its internal grain deforms to follow the general shape of the part. As a result, the grain is continuous throughout the part, giving rise to a piece with improved strength characteristics. This strengthens the resulting steel product particularly in terms of impact and shear strength.

We have in-house well equipped material testing laboratory. In order to attain high accuracy and structural composition, our laboratory consists of micro structure, Inclusion rating, BHM tester, Magna Flux and other machineries.

How We Work

Flexible Solutions for Complex Parts

Automated Cutting Machines

Metals are precisely trimmed with our automatic Trimming Press Machines. Our cutting machines are equipped with Electrical Auto Inching Systems which reduces the wastage of raw material at minimum.

CAD/CAM Design & Die Manufacture

Our design and programming systems enable us to create the forge drawing, translate it into a 3D model and communicate that data directly to our 3-axis VMC die cutting machines. Our in-house die machining produces tooling to the highest accuracy and finish, and provides a fast turn around for sinking of dies.

Forging & Machining

Our machines range in size from 1 Ton to 3.5 Ton hammer giving us the capability of producing forgings up to 60Kg. Our machining facilities include Short Blasting & Sand Blasting machines.

The machine shop is equipped with different capacity of hammers, trimming press, milling, turning, lathe, VMC and drilling machines. We develop and manufacture a wide range of forgings for transmissions and clutches for the automotive industry and forgings for the specific conditions of cranes and forklifts. We develop parts for Brackets, Crankshafts, Camshafts, Connecting Rods, Front Hub, Differential Case and Cover, Rocker Arms, Transmission parts, Chain Links, Steering Arms and Knuckles.

Aside from forgings for the automotive industry and handling technology, we also manufacture products for other fields where high demands on mechanical properties are combined with high quality standards and productivity.
